About this role

We are looking for an Accountant to join our growing team.

This is an exciting opportunity to develop and grow while working with a great team in an international environment. We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive accountant to join our finance team at our Malta office. The ideal candidate will be responsible for Accounts Payable processing, ensuring accurate and timely payments, taking ownership of FX-trading and intragroup liquidity planning, and working closely with the business control team in cash management.

What will you be doing?

Accounts Payable (AP) Processing:

  • Process and oversee the full cycle of accounts payable in various jurisdictions, ensuring accurate and timely payments.

  • Collaborate with vendors to resolve any invoice discrepancies and maintain strong vendor relationships.

  • Implement and enforce AP policies and procedures to optimize efficiency and accuracy of the AP process.

  • Daily posting of AP transactions to ensure timely processing and payment.

  • Ability to adapt to the different requirements and AP processes of various jurisdictions.

  • Work closely with other departments to foster effective communication and collaboration in the AP process

  • Manage the finance department's shared inboxes by handling internal and external queries, invoice submissions, and payment approvals to ensure smooth communication flow and timely responses

Cash Management – liquidity planning:

  • Being responsible for settlement of funds from PSP to operational bank accounts.

  • Secure sufficient balances on our Player Fund accounts, to not be in breach of any regulatory requirements.

  • Oversee the need of FX-trade, and execute the FX transfers in a cost-efficient manner

  • Intragroup liquidity planning and settlement of intragroup receivables and liabilities

  • Prepare the weekly liquidity meeting report, including the preparation of the weekly payment list

Accounting:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.

  • Assist in the month-end close process by preparing journal entries, balance sheet and income statement checks as part of the month-end closing process.

  • Collaborate with the finance team and management to ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.

  • Participate in internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and support.

  • Perform daily and weekly bank reconciliations, ensuring all financial transactions are accurately recorded and discrepancies are promptly addressed.

  • Handle intercompany transactions and balances, ensuring accurate and timely reconciliation across entities.

Who are you?

  • A Level / Diploma Finance.

  • Proven experience as an Accounts Officer or similar role, preferably in a multi-jurisdictional environment.

  • Experience in the i-gaming industry is an advantage.

  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.

  • Proficiency in accounting software (preferably NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills.

  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.

  • Ability to work within a team, adapt to changing requirements and work in a fast-paced environment.
