Accounting Manager

About this role

Financial Reporting

  • Review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules.

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

  • Ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial records.

  • Monitor general ledger activities and maintain the integrity of accounting data.

Accounting Operations

  • Oversee daily accounting functions including:

  • General Accounting

  • Accounts Payable

  • Accounts Receivable

  • Fixed Assets

  • Bank Reconciliation

  • Cash Management

  • Review accounting transactions to ensure compliance with company policies.

  • Pay roll Management.

  • Costing exposure and unit cost calculation is preferred.

  • Indirect and direct tax management, entries, return preparation with the help of consultants.

  • Treasury function – forex import, export invoice raising, collection, bills settlement etc.

 

 

Compliance and Taxation

  • Ensure timely preparation and filing of tax returns and government reports with the help of consultants.

  • Coordinate with internal and external auditors during audits.

  • Ensure compliance with BIR, SEC, and other applicable government regulations.

  • Assist in implementing accounting policies and internal controls.

Budgeting and Analysis

  • Active role in budget preparation and forecasting.

  • Analyze financial performance and identify significant variances.

  • Prepare management reports and financial analyses to support decision-making.

Process Improvement

  • Recommend improvements to accounting processes and internal controls.

  • Participate in system implementation and process automation initiatives.

  • Develop and update accounting procedures and documentation.

Other Duties

  • Support special projects assigned by Management.

  • Perform other accounting and finance-related duties as required.

  • Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

    • Timely submission of monthly financial statements.

    • Accuracy of financial reports.

    • On-time tax filing and regulatory compliance.

    • Successful completion of month-end closing.

    • Zero significant audit findings due to accounting errors.

    • Budget variance analysis completed within deadlines.

    • Improvement in accounting processes and internal controls.

    • Team productivity and performance.

  • Qualifications Education

    • Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy.

    • CPA designation is preferred.

    Experience

    • At least 5 years of progressive accounting experience.

    • Minimum 2 years in a supervisory or team lead role.

    • Experience in financial reporting, taxation, budgeting, and audit coordination.

    • Experience in handling multiple entities or business units is an advantage.

    Technical Skills

    • Strong knowledge of Philippine Financial Reporting Standards (PFRS).

    • Knowledge of Philippine taxation and BIR regulations.

    • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software/ERP systems.

    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
