Accounting Manager
About this role
Financial Reporting
Review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial records.
Monitor general ledger activities and maintain the integrity of accounting data.
Accounting Operations
Oversee daily accounting functions including:
General Accounting
Accounts Payable
Accounts Receivable
Fixed Assets
Bank Reconciliation
Cash Management
Review accounting transactions to ensure compliance with company policies.
Pay roll Management.
Costing exposure and unit cost calculation is preferred.
Indirect and direct tax management, entries, return preparation with the help of consultants.
Treasury function – forex import, export invoice raising, collection, bills settlement etc.
Compliance and Taxation
Ensure timely preparation and filing of tax returns and government reports with the help of consultants.
Coordinate with internal and external auditors during audits.
Ensure compliance with BIR, SEC, and other applicable government regulations.
Assist in implementing accounting policies and internal controls.
Budgeting and Analysis
Active role in budget preparation and forecasting.
Analyze financial performance and identify significant variances.
Prepare management reports and financial analyses to support decision-making.
Process Improvement
Recommend improvements to accounting processes and internal controls.
Participate in system implementation and process automation initiatives.
Develop and update accounting procedures and documentation.
Other Duties
Support special projects assigned by Management.
Perform other accounting and finance-related duties as required.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Timely submission of monthly financial statements.
Accuracy of financial reports.
On-time tax filing and regulatory compliance.
Successful completion of month-end closing.
Zero significant audit findings due to accounting errors.
Budget variance analysis completed within deadlines.
Improvement in accounting processes and internal controls.
Team productivity and performance.
Qualifications Education
Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy.
CPA designation is preferred.
Experience
At least 5 years of progressive accounting experience.
Minimum 2 years in a supervisory or team lead role.
Experience in financial reporting, taxation, budgeting, and audit coordination.
Experience in handling multiple entities or business units is an advantage.
Technical Skills
Strong knowledge of Philippine Financial Reporting Standards (PFRS).
Knowledge of Philippine taxation and BIR regulations.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software/ERP systems.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
