Duties/Expectations:
Teach Music 280R: Intro to Popular Music History
Course is taught through Evening School, Thursdays from 6:00pm-6:50pm
This course offers an accessible introduction to popular music as a cultural, historical, and musical phenomenon and is open to students across all disciplines who have no prior musical training
Prepare and employ high-quality course materials, including syllabi, lesson plans, assessments, lectures, and activities that align with the School of Music’s learning outcomes for the course
Utilize BYU’s Learning Suite or Canvas to manage assignments, post grades, and communicate with students
Remain accessible to students for questions and assistance as needed outside of regular class time
Respond to student inquiries in a timely manner
Frequent communication with the Division Coordinator providing updates
A firm commitment to the mission of BYU
