Team Global Express is seeking a highly organised and customer-focused Administration Assistant to join our Townsville Freight Office on a Permanent Full-Time PM Shift.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced transport environment, has strong administrative skills, and takes pride in providing exceptional customer service while supporting daily freight operations.

About the Role
Reporting to the Administration Manager, you'll play a key role in ensuring the efficient day-to-day operation of the Freight Office. You'll work closely with operational teams, customers, carriers and internal stakeholders to ensure freight documentation is processed accurately, compliance requirements are met, and administrative tasks are completed on time.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide day-to-day administrative support within the Freight Office.
  • Process freight documentation accurately and efficiently.
  • Manage data entry and linehaul manifesting activities.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service to both internal and external customers.
  • Prepare, update and maintain reports using Microsoft Excel.
  • Manage email correspondence and calendars using Microsoft Outlook.
  • Process carrier and agent payment reconciliations.
  • Maintain accurate operational records and documentation.
  • Ensure all administration activities comply with Team Global Express policies, procedures and audit requirements.
  • Assist with operational reporting and compliance activities.
  • Provide reception support when required.
  • Work collaboratively with operational teams to support daily freight movements.
  • Participate in cross-training and continuous improvement initiatives.

What You'll Bring
  • Previous administration experience, ideally within transport, logistics or freight operations.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Excellent data entry accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and Outlook.
  • Experience working with transport management systems or similar databases (Toll Works or similar highly regarded).
  • Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise competing tasks.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with customers and colleagues.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • A positive attitude with a willingness to learn and adapt.
