Exciting Opportunity at MSK: Admission Representative 

At Memorial Sloan Kettering (MSK), we are dedicated to delivering exceptional patient experiences through accuracy, compassion, and efficiency. The Admissions Representative  ensures smooth admissions processes by gathering patient information, coordinating scheduling, supporting physicians, and facilitating documentation—all while maintaining the highest standards of respect, confidentiality, and patient-centered service. 

Role Overview 

  • Perform patient check-in procedures for admissions, in-patient stay, and SDH 

  • Collect and verify patient demographic and financial information 

  • Explain admission documents and obtain required authorizations and signatures 

  • Collect deposits and process payments securely 

  • Schedule and confirm patient appointment and admission times 

  • Assist physicians with completing New York State death certificates and related documentation 

  • Facilitate patient requests for medical records, private rooms, and special accommodations 

  • Assemble and prepare patient charts and admission packets accurately 

  • Provide courteous telephone coverage and accurate information routing 

Key Qualifications 

  • Familiarity with patient admissions, scheduling, and insurance verification 

  • Ability to manage sensitive patient information with discretion and accuracy 

  • Strong interpersonal skills with a customer service focus 

Core Skills 

  • Proficiency with computer systems, data entry, and typing accuracy 

  • Ability to handle acutely ill patients and high-stress situations with professionalism 

  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written 

  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities 

  • Be able to work independently and with others 

Additional Information: 

  • Schedule: On site, Monday – Friday, 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM EST with flexibility as needed 

  • Location: 1275 York Ave, New York, NY 10065 

  • Reporting to: Supervisor, Patient Financial Services

Pay Range: $23.49 - $32.46
