GE Vernova is looking for highly motivated individuals to join the Aero Equipment ITR engineering team. GE Vernova Gas Power is a growing and exciting business encompassing all Aero Derivatives Gas Turbines and Power Plants enabling renewable penetration through grid firming, decarbonizing and electrifying the world.
The Aero Equipment ITR Mechanical Engineer will be part of a team tasked to deliver wing-to-wing customer solutions for Aeroderivative Gas Turbine Generator Equipment projects, from competitive proposal to execution of solutions. The engineer will be part of a team that will execute with safety, quality, on-time delivery, and at cost.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Serve as a key contributor to develop a scope of work and plan schedule and monitor engineering activities for customer projects.
  • Provide technical leadership and interface with Proposal Management, Cost Estimating, Partners, Customers, GE Product Engineering, Sourcing, Engineering sub-contractors.
  • Provide technical clarification of designs with suppliers, manufacturing, and services teams.
  • Resolves issues using established procedures. Consults more senior team members for issues outside of defined instructions/parameters.
  • Assist Senior Engineers to develop and implement project specific designs.
  • Collaborates with others departments to solve issues, develops strong customer relationships and serves as the interface between customer and GE. Exchanges technical information, asks questions and checks for understanding.

Required Qualifications

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field from an accredited university or technical university.
  • Demonstrated experience related to engineering drawings, bills of materials, manufacturing processes, mechanical engineering, and product design.

  • Strong verbal and written English communication skills are required, as this role involves daily collaboration and communication within a global engineering team and customers
  • Ability to demonstrate a structured approach to problem solving, learning agility.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to articulate technical problems in clear and simple terms.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to work in project teams in an international environment.
  • Proficiency in MS Office tools and CAD software
  • Related Mechanical engineering experience through Internship, COOP or University classwork.
