About this role

Location: Onsite - Montreal

Who we are:

Valnet is a fast-growing digital media company where innovation, autonomy, and execution are highly valued. You’ll work alongside talented people who move quickly, experiment, and take ownership. Our meritocratic culture gives you the opportunity to make a meaningful impact from day one and grow quickly based on your results.

Valnet is looking for an AI Operations Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will identify, implement, and optimize AI-powered solutions that improve how a large-scale digital publishing organization operates.

You will work closely with editorial teams, writers, and other stakeholders to identify repetitive, time-consuming, or inefficient processes where AI can create meaningful improvements.
From research and content ideation to article production, optimization, quality control, and publishing workflows, you will help turn AI capabilities into practical tools that writers and editors can use every day.

This is a hands-on execution role. You will identify opportunities, build and test solutions, implement them into existing workflows, measure their impact, and continuously improve them.
The goal is simple: make our editorial teams faster, more efficient, and more effective through AI.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify repetitive and inefficient editorial and social workflows where AI can create meaningful impact
  • Build and deploy AI agents and automated workflows that improve productivity and content output
  • Develop AI-assisted solutions for research, ideation, outlining, SEO, internal linking, formatting, quality control, publishing, and social media
  • Test and optimize LLMs, prompts, AI tools, and automation workflows
  • Monitor AI outputs and establish processes to maintain quality and accuracy
  • Work directly with writers and editorial teams to drive adoption and improve workflows
  • Track productivity, efficiency, content output, and other key performance metrics
  • Continuously improve solutions based on data and user feedback

What We’re Looking For
  • 0-5 years of experience in AI, operations, analytics, automation, digital media, or a related field
  • AI-native mindset with strong hands-on experience using modern AI tools
  • Strong understanding of LLMs, AI agents, prompt engineering, and automation
  • Proven ability to turn an idea into a working solution and drive it into production
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Comfortable working with non-technical teams and translating business problems into practical solutions
  • Curious, entrepreneurial, and constantly looking for ways to improve how things are done
  • Comfortable operating in ambiguity and working independently
  • Strong bias toward execution and measurable results
  • Experience in digital media, editorial, content, or publishing is a strong plus — but not required

Benefits
  • Full health insurance plan (including medical, dental, and vision)
  • Daily on-site lunches, snacks, and coffee
  • Fitness subscription reimbursement program
  • Competitive compensation plan and bonus structure
