About the Role
We are looking for a technically strong, execution-focused, and AI-driven AI Solutions Lead to establish and lead our AI and Automation practice.
This role combines hands-on technical expertise with team leadership and delivery ownership. You will lead a team of AI engineers and automation specialists while actively contributing to complex client projects. Working closely with Client Account Managers, you will translate business requirements into scalable AI solutions, oversee delivery quality, and ensure projects are completed on time and to the highest standards.
This is a leadership role for someone who enjoys solving complex problems, mentoring teams, and building practical AI solutions that create measurable business value.
Key Responsibilities
1. AI Project Delivery & Execution
- Own end-to-end delivery of AI and automation projects from discovery through deployment.
- Work hands-on on complex AI implementations while overseeing team delivery.
- Ensure all deliverables meet quality, security, and performance standards before client release.
- Identify project risks early and implement mitigation strategies proactively.
- Deliver projects within agreed timelines, scope, and quality expectations.
2. Client Solutioning & Technical Consultation
- Participate in client discussions to understand AI requirements and technical challenges.
- Translate business needs into scalable AI architectures and implementation plans.
- Partner closely with Client Account Managers by providing technical recommendations and delivery updates.
- Proactively communicate scope changes, technical risks, and implementation considerations.
- Support solution presentations, technical demonstrations, and client workshops where required.
3. Team Leadership & Capability Building
- Lead, mentor, and develop the AI and Automation team.
- Allocate work, monitor delivery progress, and remove execution bottlenecks.
- Conduct technical reviews and provide constructive feedback to maintain engineering excellence.
- Drive knowledge sharing, best practices, and continuous learning across the team.
- Define development standards, documentation practices, and AI implementation frameworks.
4. AI Solution Development
- Design and build AI-powered automation workflows using platforms such as n8n, Make, Zapier, or similar tools.
- Develop LLM-powered applications including prompt engineering, context management, and response optimization.
- Build and integrate AI solutions using APIs from OpenAI, Anthropic, Google Vertex AI, Hugging Face, and similar providers.
- Develop MCP (Model Context Protocol) servers and AI integrations for modern AI tooling.
- Design agentic workflows with multi-agent coordination, memory management, and tool orchestration.
- Build AI assistants, chatbots, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines, and intelligent workflow automation.
- Develop clean, maintainable code using TypeScript, Python, or JavaScript.
- Continuously evaluate emerging AI technologies and recommend adoption where appropriate.
5. Delivery Governance & Continuous Improvement
- Establish delivery processes, quality standards, and implementation best practices for AI projects.
- Ensure documentation, technical specifications, and deployment processes remain current and organized.
- Improve internal workflows through automation and process optimization.
- Drive continuous improvements in delivery efficiency, scalability, and technical excellence.
6. Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Collaborate with Account Managers, Project Managers, Developers, Designers, and QA teams to ensure seamless project execution.
- Align technical delivery with client expectations and business objectives.
- Provide technical guidance during project planning, estimation, and solution design.
- Foster effective communication across distributed and cross-functional teams.
7. Who This Role Is NOT For
- You prefer managing teams without contributing hands-on to technical implementation.
- You are looking for a purely research-focused AI role rather than client delivery and execution.
- You are uncomfortable leading technical discussions with clients or translating business requirements into AI solutions.
- You prefer waiting for direction instead of proactively identifying improvements and solving problems.
- You have limited experience building production-grade AI or automation solutions.
Desired Skills & Experience
- 5+ years of experience delivering AI, Automation, or Intelligent Workflow solutions.
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience working with Large Language Model (LLM) APIs.
- Proven experience with automation platforms such as n8n, Make, Zapier, or similar.
- Strong programming skills in TypeScript, Python, or JavaScript.
- Deep understanding of APIs, system integrations, and workflow architecture.
- Experience designing and deploying AI assistants, RAG pipelines, chatbots, and automation workflows.
- Experience leading technical teams or operating as a senior technical contributor.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage confidently with clients and internal stakeholders.
- Ability to proactively manage priorities, resolve technical challenges, and drive delivery outcomes.
- Experience in digital agency, SaaS, IT services, or consulting environments is preferred.
Nice to Have
- Experience building agent-based AI systems using direct LLM APIs or orchestration frameworks.
- Experience deploying self-hosted or local LLMs using platforms such as Ollama, vLLM, or Llama.cpp.
- Familiarity with AI governance, responsible AI practices, and model evaluation.
- Experience with cloud AI platforms and enterprise AI deployments.
- Exposure to DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and scalable AI infrastructure.
- Understanding of modern AI architecture patterns and enterprise automation strategies.
