Anesthesiologist opportunity to support our busy hospital-based practice in White Plains, NY; diverse case mix in a care team model White Plains Hospital is the most awarded and fastest growing hospital in Westchester County - just north of NYC. It’s renowned programs and services provide a wide breadth of specialized surgical care supported by the anesthesiology department. Operations and surgical procedures are performed solely by attendings allowing for exceptional efficiency. The primary mission of this not-for-profit healthcare organization is to provide compassionate, high-quality healthcare and preventive medical care to people in the Westchester County area. Our practice provides anesthesia services for a diverse case mix at White Plains Hospital and five Ambulatory Surgery Centers in the area. Recent enhancements include a Night Float Anesthesiologist for Labor and Delivery as well as a low frequency of overnight call. We have a vibrant and energetic group composed of 45 anesthesiologists and 15 CRNAs from top programs. We cover 41 anesthetizing locations daily. We work together in a care team model. Our care team model means that we focus on giving everyone a voice, while supporting, respecting, and helping them to deliver care excellence.

Responsibilities
• Case assignments: Mix of inpatient and outpatient cases. State of the art, brand new operating rooms. Great variety of cases including general, OB, regional, vascular, cardiac, pediatrics, neuro and ortho. No transplant cases and no trauma. Cardiac and young pediatrics cases covered by the cardiac and peds team. Plenty of opportunity to expand your regional anesthesia skills.
• Assist in the directing and coordinating of activities in the Anesthesia Department
• Responsible for the medical management of patients who are rendered unconscious and/or insensible to pain and emotional stress during surgery and other medical procedures
• Pre-anesthesia assessment
• Obtains and/or verifies patient consent
• Discuss anesthetic options and risks with the patient
• Induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia
• Monitoring of the patient's physiological condition
• Performance of clinical intervention as needed
Requirements
• Schedule: We have a low frequency of call as well as a very efficient peel off system
• M.D./D.O. Degree from an accredited College of Medicine
• ECFMG and FLEX
• Completion of approved residency in anesthesia
• Currently licensed as a physician
Salary: $600K
