Role: Registered Nurse

Looking for a nursing role where you can practice to your full scope while making a genuine difference every day?

We are looking for compassionate and experienced Registered Nurses to join our teams across the Upper Hutt area. Rather than applying for a single vacancy, you'll be considered for multiple current and upcoming opportunities across our villages in the region. Whether you're looking for full-time, part-time or casual work, we'd love to hear from you.

As a Registered Nurse, you'll work within a nurse-led service where your clinical expertise, professional judgement, and leadership play an important role in delivering high-quality care and enriching the lives of our residents.

What you'll be doing

As a Registered Nurse, you'll lead and coordinate resident care while supporting your wider clinical team to deliver safe, person-centred outcomes. Every day is different, but you can expect to:

  • Coordinate the daily clinical care needs of residents.
  • Complete comprehensive nursing assessments and implement care plans.
  • Make sound clinical decisions and respond confidently to changing resident needs.
  • Build meaningful relationships with residents, their families/whānau, and allied health professionals.
  • Lead, coach and support Healthcare Assistants and the wider care team.
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation and contribute to continuous quality improvement.
  • Promote a safe, respectful, and caring environment where residents can thrive.

Requirements

What you'll bring

  • A current New Zealand Annual Practising Certificate (APC).
  • Registration with the Nursing Council of New Zealand.
  • Previous nursing experience, ideally within aged care or a similar clinical environment.
  • Experience using electronic clinical documentation systems.
  • Excellent clinical assessment and decision-making skills.
  • Strong communication and leadership abilities.
  • A collaborative approach and genuine passion for caring for older people.
  • Flexibility to work a variety of rostered shifts, including weekends and nights where required.
  • InterRAI experience is desirable but not essential.

Benefits

Why join?

We’re reimagining retirement and aged care in New Zealand. With more than 35 villages nationwide, we create communities where residents feel safe, valued and connected. When you join, you'll enjoy:

  • Competitive hourly rates
  • Ongoing professional development and career progression opportunities.
  • A supportive nurse-led clinical environment where you can practice to your full scope.
  • Employee wellbeing support.
  • The opportunity to make a meaningful difference every day.
