Essential Functions:
- Serving and cleaning up meals and snacks.
- Group management of children ages 18 months - 12 years.
- Assisting children in bathroom (including changing diapers) .
- Communicating with co-workers, children and children's families.
- Maintaining Accurate Records of attendance and count of all children in the classroom.
- Cleaning and sanitizing toys, furniture, and equipment.
- Implementing daily activity plans Lifting of children up to 60 lbs.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Direct care of children ages 18 months - 12 years of age.
- Basic knowledge of child development is essential.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills; record keeping; serving/cleaning up meals; general housekeeping skills; changing diapers/assisting children in the bathroom.
- Capability to make quick decisions; ability to manage a large group of children.
- Must be punctual.
- Initiative, Flexibility, Energy, and an eagerness to learn.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.).
- Experience working with children ranging in age from 18 months-12 years old in a group care setting.
