Summary:
The Applied Learning & Employer Engagement Specialist will play a pivotal role within the Industry Engagement Team at Kogod School of Business, facilitating robust partnerships between companies and the school to execute initiatives that provide practical, real-world learning experiences and facilitating meaningful connections between students and industry. This role will serve as a project manager for courses and programs related to action learning, i.e. classroom projects, capstone projects, consulting projects, case competitions, and class speakers, ensuring a streamlined and consistent approach to company engagement.
Essential Functions:
1.) Applied Learning Projects
Implement a strategic plan for curricular and co-curricular projects and assist faculty and staff with execution throughout the calendar year.
Strategic Implementation: Assist in the implementation of virtual and in-person real world learning projects sponsored by corporate partners within academic coursework ensuring alignment with industry.
Faculty Engagement: Meet with faculty and department chairs to identify classes with current projects and classes where future projects are desired. Determine opportunities for overlap with Kogod’s corporate engagement strategy and identify sourcing needs. Provide insight and guidance where needed.
Project Sourcing: Coordinate with industry engagement team and alumni teams to source employers and alumni contacts for curricular and co-curricular projects to enhance student experience and employability.
2.) Project Design and Collateral
Source and lead co-curricular consulting projects.
Project Management: Source and lead co-curricular consulting projects in complement to curricular offerings and in alignment with corporate engagement strategy and institutional priorities. Ensure opportunities for students to build industry-relevant skills.
Student Sourcing: Create and manage application process for Kogod students.
Collateral: Create and maintain project forms, templates, and guides.
Funding: Coordinate with Kogod development team to secure funding sources for projects.
3.) Communication, Databases, and Reporting
Contribute to and maintain a database of active employers and alumni and reports on engagement activities, their success, and recommendations for future opportunities.
Communication: Create content on appropriate media channels to maximize visibility of opportunities both to promote beforehand and report on afterwards.
CRM: Maintain accurate notes on employer and alumni engagement in curricular and co-curricular projects.
Evaluate Effort: Establish metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of efforts and impact on outcomes. Use feedback from employers and students to continuously improve engagement strategies and services.
Outcomes: Collaborate with data team to collect and track student outcomes from employers and maintain knowledge of applicable reporting standards.
Stay Informed: Stay updated on industry trends, participate in professional development workshops, conferences, and training sessions, and implement new strategies or techniques learned.
Other duties as assigned: Facilitate special projects, serve on committees, etc. as needed.
4.) Recruitment Event Lead
Manage virtual and on-campus recruiting events, including interviews, coffee chats, and other programs as assigned; set up KTN (Kogod Talent Network) schedules and monitor student and employee sign-ups.
Act as Project Lead for Signature Programming such as Fall & Spring Expo, Treks, Case Competitions, Corporate Discovery Visits, and Summer Internship Showcase.
Coordinate with employers and Industry Engagement Specialists to ensure successful event participation, providing necessary support and resources.
Collaborate with the CAI Operations and Marketing teams to ensure smooth coordination and communication of event details and timelines.
Troubleshoot issues during events to ensure a positive experience for employers and students.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
Full-time.
35 hours per week.
The schedule is 9am - 5pm, Monday - Friday with some evening/weekend hours.
Salary Range:
$59,000.00 - $68,000.00 annually.
Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
2 - 4 years of relevant experience.
Preferred Education and Experience:
Master's degree or equivalent.
3 - 5 years of relevant experience.
Travel Required:
Position requires 20% domestic and international travel.
