Asbest Senior Java Developer

We are seeking a Senior Java Developer to support the development and enhancement of a web-based regulatory platform related to environmental compliance and certification. The role involves working within a structured Agile environment on a mission-critical digital application serving multiple stakeholders. Requirements · Design and develop Java-based web applications · Implement RESTful APIs and backend services · Contribute to CI/CD processes · Work with relational databases (DB2 / PostgreSQL) · Provide technical leadership and coaching to developers · Participate in architectural discussions · Ensure high code quality and testing standards Required Skills & Expertise Must Have · 5+ years of experience in Java development · Strong knowledge of Java / Spring Boot · Experience with REST services · Experience with DB2 or PostgreSQL · Experience with Continuous Integration · Dutch language proficiency (CEFR C2) Should Have / Nice to Have · Public-sector experience · Experience leading or mentoring developers · Agile methodology experience · API integrations · Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence) · Kubernetes · React · Test-Driven Development (TDD) Soft Skills · Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities · Ability to lead technical discussions · Structured and quality-driven mindset · Strong communication skills in Dutch
