About this role

About Standard Bots

Standard Bots is building the next generation of industrial robots — hardware that's powerful, affordable, and designed to scale. We're moving fast from prototype to high-volume production, and the people assembling our robots are the most important people in the building. This role is central to that.

Note: This is a full-time, on-site role at our Glen Cove, NY manufacturing facility. First shift, Monday through Friday. We are unable to sponsor Visas for this role.

The Role

We're looking for an Assembly Technician to build the robots that are showing up on factory floors across the country. You'll work closely with the Production Supervisor and engineering team to assemble precision robotic systems to spec — doing the hands-on work that turns parts into a finished product.

This is a role for someone who takes pride in clean, accurate assembly work, catches issues before they become problems, and shows up every shift ready to execute.

What You'll Do

- Assemble production robots and components according to specifications and work instructions

- Perform quality checks throughout the assembly process and report issues to the Production Supervisor

- Maintain a safe, organized work environment in accordance with company and industry standards

- Manage material handling and distribution to workstations

- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives on the production floor

What We're Looking For

- High school diploma or equivalent

- 2+ years of experience in a mass production or manufacturing environment

- 1+ year of hands-on assembly, maintenance/repair, or tool experience

- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

- Strong attention to detail — you catch things, you don't let things slide

- Clear communicator who can flag issues quickly and work well within a team

- Able to prioritize and stay focused when things are moving fast

Nice to Have

- Associate's or Bachelor's degree

- Experience in automotive, aerospace, industrial, or electromechanical manufacturing

- Machine shop or CNC equipment experience

- Familiarity with OSHA standards and workplace safety practices

Compensation and Benefits

The pay rate for this role is $30.00 to $36.00 per hour, depending on experience. Base pay is just one part of the overall compensation at Standard Bots. All full-time employees are eligible for Employee Stock Options. We also offer a package of benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, life insurance, disability insurance, and 401(k) to regular full-time employees.
