Assistant Manager, Jurong Island Security Operations Department (JISOD)

[What the role is]

o Manage and review operational processes at Jurong Island Checkpoint, Pass Office, and work with Jurong Island Operation Centre team to review security operations.
o Manage and review operating systems, including the Biometric Access Control System (BACS), Reversible Flow System and other operating systems at Jurong Island Operations Centre.
o Provide point of contact and liaison with tenant companies on Jurong Island, engaging them through established platforms like Round Table Discussions and Safety and Security Watch Group.

[What you will be working on]

o Process requests for expedited clearance for important events involving VIPs upon request by tenant companies, and process appeals for Jurong Island passes by tenant companies.
o Process requests for photography/Videography, oversized cargo handling, and other operations on Jurong Island by tenant companies.
o Assess security vendors’ KPI scorecards to ensure proper scoring to seek approvals for purpose of monthly payment of services.
o Collate daily operational statistics, including incident reports, people and vehicular entry data, U-turn loads at checkpoint, road traffic accidents, etc., for analysis and recommendations for improvement.
o Process and report up all service complains/feedback.
o Plan and facilitate visits to Jurong Island Operations Centre with requestor/sponsor
o Perform shift work to cover Duty Commander duties at JIOC when required. Be au fait with all operating systems, SOPs, incident management and incident reporting roles.
o Will be required to take on additional responsibilities in project management and implementation in JICP by working with SPD and when directed by JISOD.
 

[What we are looking for]

• Possesses good managerial abilities for analysis, report writing skills, for effective operations management.
• Possesses good communication skills and teamwork to enable effective working relationship with security vendors, government agencies, JTC departments, and tenant companies.
• Experience in service recovery to manage service feedback.
• Perform shift work as a Duty Commander, when required.
• At least 3 to 4 years of experience in security planning and operations.
