Job Title: Assistant Manager - Logistics
Location: Ahmedabad
Reporting to: Head Supply ChainWarehouse & Logistics

Key Responsibilities

      Logistics Operations
    • Manage end-to-end secondary logistics operations across D2C, Marketplace and B2B channels.
    • Ensure timely order fulfilment while maintaining defined service level agreements (SLAs).
    • Monitor logistics KPIs including:
    • Order-to-Dispatch TAT
    • Delivery TAT
    • Fill Rate
    • First Attempt Delivery Success
    • Logistics Cost per Order
    • Drive continuous improvement in customer delivery experience.

     Distribution Network Management
    • Manage inventory distribution across five regional warehouses.
    • Develop replenishment strategies to ensure optimum inventory availability across all locations.
    • Balance inventory to minimize stock-outs while reducing excess inventory.
    • Coordinate inter-warehouse stock transfers based on regional demand patterns.

     Cost Optimization
    • Identify opportunities to reduce freight, warehousing and handling costs.
    • Improve vehicle utilization and shipment consolidation.
    • Optimize courier allocation across D2C channels.
    • Monitor logistics cost budgets and drive productivity initiatives.
    • Evaluate and negotiate logistics contracts along with procurement.

Inventory & Warehouse Coordination
    • Partner with warehouse teams to improve inventory accuracy.
    • Monitor ageing inventory and slow-moving stock.
    • Improve inventory availability through better regional planning.
    • Support warehouse productivity improvement initiatives.

Cross-functional Collaboration
Work closely with:
    • Sales
    • Key Account Management
    • Demand Planning
    • Customer Service
    • Procurement
    • Finance
    • Marketing
    • Manufacturing
    • Third Party Logistics (3PL) Partners to ensure seamless supply chain execution.

Project Management
Lead strategic supply chain initiatives including:
    • Warehouse expansion and consolidation
    • New warehouse onboarding
    • WMS/TMS implementations
    • Logistics automation
    • Process digitization
    • Distribution network optimization
    • Reverse logistics improvement
    • Freight optimization projects
    • Monitor project timelines, budgets and stakeholder communication.


Performance Management
Develop dashboards and review:
    • Fill Rate
    • Dispatch TAT
    • Delivery Performance
    • Inventory Availability
    • Warehouse Productivity
    • Logistics Cost
    • Regional Service Levels
    • Vendor Performance
    • Recommend corrective actions through data-driven insights.

Qualification
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations or related field.
  • MBA/PGDM preferred.
Experience

    • 7–10 years of experience in Supply Chain, Distribution or Logistics.
    • Experience in FMCG, Consumer Goods, Cosmetics, Retail or E-commerce preferred.
    • Hands-on experience managing national logistics operations.
    • Experience working with multiple warehouses and 3PL partners.
    • Exposure to D2C and Marketplace logistics will be preferred.
