JOB SUMMARY
The role will report to the Director – Project Management and be responsible for supporting the day-to-day management and coordination ofMAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Support the day-to-day management of projects through all stages of the development lifecycle from appraisal, design development and planning through procurement, construction, handover and operation.
Independently manage smaller projects including procurements, public realm improvements, fit-outs, refurbishments, change initiatives and building modifications from inception through completion.
Work collaboratively with Development, Construction, Leasing, Asset Management and Operational teams to ensure successful project delivery.
Assist with project handover, testing, commissioning, snagging, defects management and operational readiness activities.
Support development appraisals, feasibility studies and business case preparation.
Assist in the preparation and submission of planning applications and management of planning-related obligations.
Support the preparation of and maintain project governance documentation including project execution plans, organisational charts, communication plans and reporting structures.
Support the maintenance of risk registers, change registers, action trackers and project controls documentation.
Support the monitoring of project progress and production of regular reports on programme, risks, budget, quality and key milestones.
Manage project information flows and ensure accurate records are maintained within company systems.
Prepare and issue instructions to the professional team and Construction Manager on behalf of the DM/Client.
Work closely alongside the in-house Construction Management team responsile for the delivery of the projects / builds.
Support budget preparation, cost monitoring and financial reporting throughout project delivery.
Manage purchase orders, change orders, consultant instructions and payment processes as required.
Administer change control procedures and maintain project change records.
Support the procurement, appointment and monitoring performance of consultants and professional advisers and PCSA’s
Coordinate project meetings, prepare agendas, issue minutes and monitor close-out of actions.
Build strong working relationships with internal stakeholders, occupiers, contractors and external advisers.
Support operational teams, ensuring smooth transition from agreement through occupation.
Collaborate with operational teams to ensure effective integration of completed assets into live operations.
Facilitate lessons learned reviews and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the project management function.
Identify opportunities to improve processes, reporting, governance and project delivery outcomes.
Facilitate lessons learned workshops to identify best practice and ensure findings and recommendations are disseminated, actioned, and incorporated into best practice governance/ways of working.
Ensure handover and defects management process is in place and assimilate contributions to project close out report.
Take initiative and seek out opportunities to create more efficient and effective ways of working and contribute to fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
PERSON SPECIFICATION
Must hold / be working towards professional qualification (MRICS / MAPM) at graduate/post-graduate level.
Project Management delivery experience within complex, mixed-use real estate developments – ideally within a contractor and/or developer environment.
Excellent verbal and written communicator, with strong report design and presentation skills.
High level of organisation and administrative skills and ability to energise and drive delivery within project teams.
Be able to plan and manage meetings effectively and chase down actions.
Numerate, logical and detail oriented, with ability to analyse complex issues and to summarise with accuracy speed and with clear recommendations.
Positive attitude, with ability to form effective working relationships with all project stakeholders.
