Position Overview: NPP Associate Director (primary care/CVM) is responsible for overseeing and managing the ‘end-to-end’ development and implementation of new product planning and portfolio management strategies as a TA lead and brand owner from commercial perspective in the clinical development stage. NPP lead plays a crucial role in identifying market opportunities, ensuring the successful launch of new products, optimizing the product portfolio based on China market practice.
Responsibilities:
Accelerate end-to-end new assets development:
- Lead commercial assessment for pipeline assets (incl. BD candidates)– detailed inputs representing integrated country opportunity view, i.e. market size, competitive analysis, market access pathway, business model, key financials (P&L, NPV, resource plan), etc.
- Provide China specific feedback and shape development strategy, TPP, market access strategy etc. by proactively engaging with key global/China PDT cross-functional teams (incl. global marketing, market access, R&D and medical, etc.).
- Proactively seek acceleration opportunities and maximize commercial potential for new product launch by leveraging policies, internal governance, or benchmarking industry best practices. Oversee and mitigate the risks of launch delays.
- Prepare CDRC/LDRC key gate approval documents by providing robust business case, key management business recommendations, and drive key stakeholders’ buy-in.
- Provide operational support to team leader
Requirements:
- +10 years above industry experience, deep understanding of China pharma market dynamics, clinical development and regulatory
- At least 5 years in new product launch & portfolio management or strategic marketing role in MNC, in-line marketing, consulting, BD within a plus
- Specifically focus on primary care (e.g., CVM) and/or ophthalmology
- Strong strategic thinking, business acumen, solid analytical skills to transfer insights into commercial strategies and business recommendations
- Strong leadership with influence and strives for excellent results
- Solid project management skills
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with team members, cross-functional teams, and senior management
- High agility in learning
- English as working language
- Medical education, master’s degree preferred, overseas education a plus
