The Associate Director, Operations and Health Data plays a pivotal role in driving data-led transformation across life operations and health analytics. This role is responsible for leading local and Value Creation Center (offshore VCC) to integrate advanced data capabilities & insights into strategic decision-making, operational processes & decision to improve efficiency & customer experience, and identify fraud, waste and abuse to enhance health sustainability.
Job Responsibilities
Health Data Analytics Leadership
- Lead the development of health data strategies, ensuring alignment with business goals and regulatory standards.
- Oversee the design and implementation of predictive models for health risk prediction, claims analysis, and fraud detection.
- Build and maintain scalable data infrastructure to support real-time analytics and reporting.
Life Operations Enablement
- Partner with life operations teams to identify opportunities for data to streamline workflows, reduce manual effort, and enhance service delivery.
- Support straight-through processing (STP) initiatives by embedding predictive analytics and automation into core operational functions.
- Monitor operational KPIs and use data insights to drive continuous improvement and cost optimization.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with teams across Ops functions, product, technology, compliance, and customer service to embed data into business processes.
- Translate business needs into actionable data solutions and ensure stakeholder alignment on priorities and outcomes.
- Champion data literacy and foster a culture of data-driven decision-making across life and health functions.
Governance & Insights
- Ensure robust data governance, privacy, and security practices are in place for all health and life data initiatives.
- Deliver executive-level dashboards and insights to support strategic planning and performance tracking.
- Evaluate the impact of data initiatives and continuously refine approaches to maximize business value.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Health Informatics, Business, or related field; Master’s preferred.-
- Proven experience in life operations and health data analytics leadership roles.
- Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach to execution.
- Passionate about innovation, automation, and data-driven transformation.
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence at all levels.
- Strong understanding of insurance operations, healthcare data standards, and AI technologies.
- Proficiency in data platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS), analytics tools (e.g., Python, R, SQL), and visualization software (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
- Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, can do attitude and change management skills.
