Associate, Operations Transformation Automation

About this role

This role sits within LSEG’s Markets Operations Transformation team, as part of the Check Centre Automation (MOAT) programme. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering and maintaining operational checks while designing and delivering new automation pathways, alongside supporting infrastructure and change activities.


The role requires a professional with experience in technology and automation. The individual will design, develop, and maintain scalable software solutions that enhance operational support, improve efficiency, and strengthen system resilience.


Our team operates on the Standard UK Shift - 12:30 PM to 9:30 PM (Sri Lankan Time) and hybrid workstyle (3 days in office) to support global business operations. Refer Hybrid Working | LSEG for more information on our ways of working.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify, design, and automate repetitive operational processes, reducing manual effort across critical systems.

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks supporting operational checks, system monitoring, and testing activities.

• Develop and implement proactive monitoring solutions to ensure system stability, detect anomalies, and trigger timely alerts.

• Continuously enhance automation effectiveness by improving performance, reducing failure rates, and increasing solution reliability.

• Collaborate with multi-functional teams (Infrastructure, Engineering, Product, and Operations) to integrate automation into existing platforms and workflows.

• Support implementation activities across automation and operational initiatives, ensuring high-quality, timely delivery.

• Support system upgrades, releases, and critical changes, ensuring automation solutions are tested and remain effective post-change.

• Work with internal and external teams to support upgrade and release activities where required.

• Deliver urgent and ad hoc development changes in response to operational priorities.

• Develop dashboards and analytics to meet management reporting and oversight requirements.

Additionally

• Ensure robust data management, documentation, and operational tracking are in place.

• Provide team coverage and contribute to ad hoc operational responsibilities as needed.

Candidate Background

• 1-3 years’ experience in Automation Engineering, Operational Engineering, or RPA development.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.

• Experience using automation tools and RPA platforms.

• Experience working with Microsoft Power Platform and modern web technologies.

• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines, version control, and modern development practices.

• Strong communication, collaborator management, and organisational capabilities.
