ROLE OVERVIEW
At Wholsum Foods, we’re building a future where good food and good sense go hand in hand and we’re looking for an Associate / Sr. Associate – Procurement Operations to help bring that vision to life. If you’re someone who loves the challenge of sourcing smarter, negotiating better, and ensuring nothing slips through the cracks, we’d love to have you on board.
This role is ideal for someone with 2–4 years of hands-on procurement experience (bonus points if it’s in FMCG!) who enjoys working closely with vendors, collaborating across teams, and ensuring things run like clockwork behind the scenes.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Experience in food commodities buying like Flours, Sweeteners, Fats, Cocoa etc. is a mandatory requirement
- Managing end-to-end procurement for raw materials, packaging, and indirect purchases
- Raising POs, tracking deliveries, and making sure things land on time and in full
- Sourcing smartly — obtaining quotes, negotiating rates, and optimizing costs without compromising quality
- Working closely with teams across production, QA, finance, and marketing to align purchases with business needs
- Maintaining updated vendor data and evaluating supplier performance regularly
- Supporting monthly planning and forecasting to avoid stock-outs or pile-ups
- Ensuring procurement processes are compliant and documentation is in place
- Helping resolve invoice mismatches and ensuring timely payments through clean documentation and GRNs
WHAT YOU WILL BRING?
- A degree in supply chain, commerce, or business administration
- 2–4 years of procurement experience (ideally in a fast-paced, high-growth environment like FMCG)
- A strong grasp of sourcing, cost negotiations, and vendor relationship management
- Working knowledge of Tally is a must.
- SAP / Oracle / Zoho and a love for Excel
- Strong coordination skills and the ability to juggle multiple tasks and timelines
- A solutions-first, collaborative mindset — someone who gets things done
