Automotive Technicians

About this role

Job Description

Berman Kia is seeking motivated and enthusiastic Experienced Technician to join our dynamic and growing service team! 

Location: Lincolnwood, IL
Schedule: Full Time (40 hours/week)
Pay Scale: $20.50 - $47.50/HR (Based on Experience, ASE Certifications, and/or Training)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose, test and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues.
  • Work on complex repairs, including engine, transmission, and suspension work.
  • Perform multi-point vehicle inspections and report findings to service advisors.
  • Ensure all repairs and maintenance work are performed according to brand standards and procedures.
  • Participate in ongoing training programs to continue advancing technical skills and obtain higher certifications.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace, adhering to all safety protocols and standards.
  • Communicate effectively with the service team to ensure smooth workflow and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications:

  • At least 3 years of experience in an automotive repair setting required.
  • ASE Certifications
  • Enthusiasm for learning and hands-on technical work is essential.
  • Understanding of automotive systems (engine, transmission, suspension, electrical, brakes). 
  • Ability to work in a team environment, follow instructions, and take direction from senior technicians.
  • Strong attention to detail, ability to follow procedures, and a willingness to learn and improve problem-solving techniques.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and work in various conditions (indoors and outdoors, sometimes in noisy environments).
