AVP – Institutional Sales & Trading (DMA & Execution Services)

Mumbai, IndiaFull-timeSenior · 6-10 years

About this role

About Nubra Insti
Nubra is the institutional execution desk of Zanskar Securities, a SEBI-registered, self-clearing broker co-located at NSE and BSE. We operate a fully in-house OMS/RMS and execution algo suite built on tick-by-tick market data, with FIX, WebSocket, REST and Bloomberg EMSX connectivity and real-time TCA. We serve PMS, AIFs, AMCs, arbitrage funds, SIFs and bank treasuries in an execution-only capacity.

The Role
The core of this role is simple: bring in institutional clients who want to reduce execution slippage, and offer them our in-house execution algos. Target segments are DIIs and FPIs looking for execution brokers — AMC arbitrage funds, SIFs, quant/systematic PMS and AIFs, and treasuries. You will own client relationships end-to-end and act as the bridge between clients and our tech team.

Our Algo Suite — What You Will Be Selling
  • Benchmark algos: VWAP, TWAP, Close (MOC rebalances), Scaling/POV — for slippage-sensitive and benchmark-tracked mandates
  • Stealth execution: Iceberg, Stealth, Peg, Liquidity Seeker, Lite — low-footprint accumulation and exits in large or illiquid orders
  • Arbitrage & multi-leg: Fresh Arb, Reverse Arb, Short/Long Roll, synthetic structures and custom baskets — all-legs-or-none, threshold-based execution for arbitrage funds and SIFs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Originate and empanel DII and FPI clients seeking better execution — pitch our in-house algo suite as the answer to slippage, market impact and tracking error
  • Understand our algos deeply — VWAP, TWAP, Close, POV, multi-leg and arbitrage strategies — and match the right algo to each client's execution problem
  • Own execution relationships day-to-day: order handling, algo selection and parameters, and post-trade TCA reviews with clients
  • Share structured client feedback with the tech team — what clients need, what's not working, what to build next — so the product improves with every conversation
  • Represent Nubra at domestic and international forums, conferences and client events to build the franchise among institutional desks

What We're Looking For
  • 6–10 years in institutional equities — sales trading, DMA/electronic execution sales, or institutional dealing desk experience
  • Existing relationships with DII and/or FPI dealing desks strongly preferred
  • Working knowledge of execution algos, market microstructure and F&O; familiarity with arbitrage and multi-leg strategies is a plus
  • NISM Series VIII (Equity Derivatives) required
  • Clear communicator who can translate between fund dealers and our developers; comfortable in a lean, founder-led setup

What You Get
  • Ground-floor role in a fast-growing institutional franchise with fully proprietary technology — not a reseller of vendor algos
  • Direct access to founders and the tech team; your client feedback ships as product
  • Competitive fixed compensation plus performance-linked incentives tied to brokerage revenue
