About Kira
Kira is a restaurant with two distinct bars serving a discerning, luxury clientele. We are known for elevated cuisine, an exceptional beverage program, and a level of hospitality that matches the expectations of our guests. We are looking for an experienced, craft-focused bartender to join our team and help maintain the standard of excellence our guests expect.
Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Bartender with a strong background in craft cocktails and high-end beverage service. This is a full-time position for someone who takes pride in their technique, has deep product knowledge, and delivers polished, attentive service to a sophisticated guest base across both of our bars.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and present classic and signature craft cocktails with precision, consistency, and creativity, following Kira's recipes and standards.
- Deliver warm, professional, and highly attentive service to guests at the bar and in the dining room, anticipating needs and personalizing the experience.
- Maintain deep knowledge of spirits, wine, beer, and seasonal menu offerings, and confidently guide guests through recommendations and pairings.
- Manage bar operations across both bars stations, including setup, breakdown, inventory counts, and restocking.
- Ensure full compliance with health, safety, and responsible alcohol service regulations at all times.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked bar area in line with luxury service standards.
- Handle cash and card transactions accurately, including opening and closing bar tabs and POS operations.
- Collaborate with the Bar Manager and culinary team on seasonal menu development, new cocktail creation, and special events.
- Train and mentor junior bar staff or barbacks as needed.
- Uphold Kira's brand standards in grooming, presentation, and guest interaction at all times.
Requirements
- Minimum 3–5 years of bartending experience, ideally in a high-end restaurant, hotel, or luxury hospitality environment.
- Proven expertise in classic cocktail technique, mixology, and craft bar programs.
- Strong working knowledge of spirits, wine, and beverage trends.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a polished, guest-first approach to service.
- Ability to work efficiently and calmly under pressure during high-volume service.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., responsible alcohol service, food safety) preferred or willingness to obtain.
- A genuine passion for hospitality and continuous learning in the craft of bartending.
