What's the job?
Purpose of the role: This role designs and delivers Power BI data models and reports that turn business requirements into reliable, high-quality dashboarding applications for Kingfisher's Commercial team. Working closely with data engineering and business stakeholders across the Group to ensure data quality, adoption, and continuous improvement of BI solutions.
- Design and develop data models and reports in Microsoft Power BI
- Translate business requirements into analytical solutions, including requirements documentation
- Prepare, optimize, and maintain SQL queries
- Prepare and cleanse available data sources, including Excel files
- Ensure data quality through validation
- Collaborate with Data engineering teams on data integration
- Manage stakeholder expectations and deliver solutions iteratively based on feedback
- Apply development standards, including version control, documentation, governance, and security
- Support user enablement through training materials and user support
- Work in agile framework, including planning, prioritization, and sprint-based delivery
What you'll bring
Minimum Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of experience in delivering Business Intelligence solutions using Power BI
- Good knowledge of SQL and data modelling concepts
- Ability to work with stakeholders and translate business needs into documented requirements
- Relationship building and stakeholder collaboration
- Strong communication skills and active listening
- Collaboration and communication within cross-functional teams
- Proactiveness and ownership of assigned deliverables
- Attention to detail and quality
- English language proficiency at a minimum B2 level
- Minimum secondary education
Desirable Requirements
- Knowledge of SharePoint or Confluence and technical documentation standards
- Experience with Databricks and/or Microsoft Fabric data platforms
