Job Description

Position Overview
We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Business Development Manager to lead market
expansion and business growth initiatives across Hungary and also in Romania and Bulgaria. This role is responsible for identifying market opportunities, developing go-to-market strategies, and establishing our presence in both municipal and industrial sectors.

Key Responsibilities
Market Analysis & Strategy:

• Conduct comprehensive market research to assess potential across municipal and industrial sectors
• Analyze competitive landscape, market trends, and emerging opportunities
• Identify and evaluate market size, growth potential, and barriers to entry
• Define target customer segments and priority markets

Go-to-Market Planning:

• Develop and execute speed-to-market strategies for rapid regional penetration
• Determine optimal route-to-market approach (direct sales, distributors, partnerships, agents)
• Recommend product line prioritization based on market demand and competitive advantage
• Create phased launch plans with clear timelines and milestones

Business Development:

• Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders in municipal governments and industrial clients
• Identify and pursue strategic partnerships and alliances
• Lead negotiations for major contracts and agreements
• Develop value propositions tailored to regional market needs
• Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders (Partners, consultants, EPC,...), in cooperation with the key account team
• Build and maintain relationships with local VEOLIA BUs and coordinate main strategic initiatives with them

Revenue Growth:

• Establish sales targets and KPIs aligned with corporate objectives
• Drive revenue generation through new business acquisition
• Monitor market performance and adjust strategies accordingly
• Drive bookings growth and market share expansion
• Achieve and exceed sales targets consistently
• Improve customer satisfaction and retention rates
• Monitor sales metrics and pipeline health, adjusting tactics as needed

Qualifications

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field
• 8+ years of experience in business development
• Proven track record in both municipal and industrial sectors
• Strong analytical skills with experience in market assessment and strategic planning
• Excellent negotiation and relationship-building abilities
• Willingness to travel extensively within the region
• Fluent Hungarian and English
