We’re not your average benefits platform – we’re the driving force that uplifts people’s lives. Our technology connects the entire benefits ecosystem, creating better outcomes for employers, employees, brokers, and providers.
Our mission is clear: to build a world where everything works at its best, ensuring every employee gets the support they need to thrive—both at work and beyond.
As a BDR at Ben, you'll build the pipeline our enterprise business runs on. You'll be paired with an Account Executive on a named patch of large, global employers, and your job is to get Benefits and Reward leaders to take your call.
Running benefits for tens of thousands of people is genuinely hard. Dozens of providers, renewal dates scattered across the year, spreadsheets holding the whole thing together, and a team of two or three people fielding every question from every employee. The people who own it are stretched, under-resourced and rarely given the tools to do it properly. You'll be the one who shows them there's a better way.
Research the market: utilise prospecting and research tools to identify, target and qualify enterprise accounts within Ben's ideal customer profile, all 1,000+ FTE, across a patch you own with your Account Executive
Find the right people: work out who owns reward inside each account, from Benefits and Reward leaders through to CPOs and CHROs, and find your way through organisations where more than one person owns the decision
Start the conversation: execute outbound prospecting campaigns (email, phone, LinkedIn and other channels) to generate leads in our target markets, timed around what's actually happening in an account, and iterate on your outreach strategy as you learn what lands
Qualify and hand over: understand a prospect's needs well enough to know they're worth your AE's time, then book the meeting and give your AE everything they need to walk into it prepared. Six SALs and three SQOs a month once you're ramped.
Learn from the data: keep your pipeline data clean, get feedback on every meeting you book, and change your targeting and messaging based on what is and isn’t converting. We learn as much from the calls that didn't land as the ones that did.
Up to ~1 year of sales experience: SaaS or start-up experience is a plus
Strong organisation skills: you'll be owning and managing your sales pipeline and KPIs, so it's crucial you can prioritise your work and manage your time effectively
Highly target-motivated: you'll have a strong drive to succeed and hit your weekly and monthly KPIs
Passion for sales : you'll genuinely care about helping people find the right solution, and you'll have a proactive approach to expanding your knowledge of our product offering and our market
An entrepreneurial mindset: you're a self-starter who thrives on autonomy, enjoys a rapid pace, and are excited by ambiguity and problem complex customer problems
AI-literate : you use AI every day across research, list building, copy and call prep. You interrogate what it gives you rather than sending it as it comes, and you can walk us through exactly how you work with it.
Knowledge of our systems would be a bonus - e.g. HubSpot, Apollo, Nooks and LinkedIn Sales Navigator, but not a deal breaker!
Not sure if you meet 100% of the requirements?
That’s okay - we know that not everyone follows a linear career path, and we value diverse perspectives and growth mindsets. If you have a solid technical foundation and a strong interest in full stack engineering, we’d still love to hear from you. That said, this role does require hands-on experience, so please only apply if you feel confident you can contribute meaningfully from day one.
It's important to us to practise what we preach when it comes to benefits. We know what good looks like and we want to provide the best for our team, with a comprehensive and inclusive benefits package. You'll have a choice over the things that are most important to you.
