Business Development Representative (m/f/d) – NI Test Solutions

Are you passionate about technology, sales, and helping customers solve complex engineering challenges? We're looking for a motivated Business Development Representative (BDR) to help expand our NI (National Instruments) Test business by identifying new opportunities, engaging prospective customers, and supporting our regional sales teams.
In this role, you'll combine your curiosity for technology with your ability to build relationships, creating qualified sales opportunities for industry-leading test and measurement solutions.
What You'll Do
As a Business Development Representative, you will:
Identify and qualify new business opportunities through outbound prospecting, inbound enquiries, marketing campaigns, and partner referrals.
Engage with prospective and existing customers to understand their testing, validation, and measurement challenges across R&D, manufacturing, and validation environments.
Initiate customer conversations to introduce NI Test products, software, and system-level solutions.
Qualify opportunities based on customer needs, technical fit, budget, and project timelines before handing them over to the appropriate sales team member.
Respond promptly to customer enquiries regarding NI Test products, capabilities, and applications.
Maintain regular follow-up with prospects to ensure opportunities continue progressing through the sales pipeline.
Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Product teams, and NI partners to deliver a consistent customer experience and account strategy.
Accurately record customer interactions, activities, and opportunities within the CRM system.
Contribute to regional pipeline growth, increased market penetration, and overall revenue objectives.
Support additional business development initiatives as required.
What We're Looking For
You are a proactive, customer-focused professional who enjoys connecting with people and learning about technology.
We're looking for someone with:
A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
A foundational understanding of—or genuine interest in—NI Test and Measurement solutions.
Knowledge of sales processes, lead generation, prospecting, and opportunity qualification.
Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail.
The ability to manage multiple priorities while working collaboratively within a team.
A positive, self-motivated attitude and a desire to learn and develop.
Good English and German communication skills, both written and spoken

A collaborative mindset and the ability to work closely with Business Development Managers, Account Managers, Inside Sales, Marketing, and Product teams.
