Job Description:
About the Team
Treasury and Balance Sheet Management (TBSM) plays a critical role in safeguarding the Bank’s financial strength, liquidity, and resilience. As part of TD’s transformation into a simpler, more efficient, and future-ready organization, TBSM is evolving into a data-driven decision engine that enables clearer insight, faster responses, and stronger outcomes for the Bank.
Our team leads strategic Treasury data initiatives that sit at the heart of this transformation. We design and deliver high-quality, trusted, and integrated data solutions that span all Treasury pillars—enabling leaders and practitioners to make timely, informed decisions on fund transfer pricing, asset-liability management, liquidity, capital, funding, stress testing, investments, and overall balance sheet strategy.
This role is instrumental in centralizing and standardizing Treasury data consumption, supporting Treasury’s Target Operating Model, meeting regulatory expectations, and unlocking self-service analytics—ultimately strengthening Treasury’s ability to manage risk, optimize the balance sheet, and drive sustainable value for the Bank.
Role Overview
The Manager, Treasury Strategic Data Initiatives, acts as a bridge between Treasury strategy, business knowledge, and enterprise data platforms. This role ensures that Treasury data accurately reflects business reality, is fit for decision-making and regulatory use, and is delivered through scalable, well-governed solutions.
By improving data quality, transparency, and accessibility, this role directly contributes to better balance sheet decisions, stronger risk management, improved regulatory confidence, and overall Treasury and bank success.
Key Responsibilities
Drive Treasury-critical data outcomes: Partner with Treasury stakeholders, Lines of Business, and enterprise data product teams to define and prioritize strategic data requirements that support balance sheet optimization, risk management, regulatory compliance, and executive decision-making.
Enable informed Treasury decisions: Perform deep analytical work and data modeling to ensure data faithfully represents underlying business activity and contractual behaviors - supporting Treasury use cases such as FTP, ALM, liquidity, capital, funding, stress testing, investments, and financial modeling.
Own end-to-end data products: Act as Product Owner for Treasury strategic data solutions, leading design, development, and delivery of integrated data platforms that provide a single, trusted view of Treasury data across the Bank.
Translate complexity into scalable solutions: Convert complex business and regulatory requirements into well-architected, scalable, and compliant data solutions that can support both day-to-day management and forward-looking stress and scenario analysis.
Execute with precision and accountability: Manage delivery timelines, dependencies, and quality standards with strong attention to detail—ensuring Treasury data solutions are accurate, reliable, and ready for critical decision points and regulatory scrutiny.
Collaborate and influence at senior levels: Work closely with technology partners, risk and control functions, data governance teams, and senior Treasury leadership to drive alignment, adoption, and long-term sustainability of data solutions.
Strengthen data governance and trust: Champion strong data governance, lineage, controls, and quality standards— embedding best practices that enhance confidence in Treasury data used for management reporting, regulatory reporting, and external disclosures.
Lead change and adoption: Drive change management and user enablement through proactive stakeholder engagement, training, and communication—ensuring new data capabilities are understood, adopted, and actively used to improve Treasury outcomes.
