About the role 

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Business Requirements Analyst / Quality Assurance Specialist to join our Nordic IT team. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring the delivery of high-quality, innovative insurance solutions for our global and largest customers. As a Business Requirements Analyst / Quality Assurance Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring that our applications provide seamless, high-quality experience to our users while also contributing to the analysis, refinement, and documentation of business requirements. You will work in close collaboration with developers, product owners and designers, applying your expertise in testing and problem-solving to deliver exceptional results. We’re looking for an experienced manual tester who has experience with Business Analysis or Requirement Analysis or other related fields to help us with self-service portal development. 

 

What are you going to do? 

  • Ensure high quality standards for software deliveries, ensuring alignment with business and technical requirements  
  • Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to analyze requirements, validate functionality, and identify gaps early in the process 
  • Dive into manual testing to catch those hard-to-spot issues, from UI glitches to tricky edge cases 
  • Contribute to building and maintaining automated tests, in collaboration with test automation specialists  
  • Collaborate with developers to troubleshoot and reproduce bugs, making sure issues are resolved quickly  
  • Bring a proactive mindset, identifying risks and improvement opportunities before they become problems  

 

What do we expect from you? 

Must have 

  • Several years of experience in quality engineering, with strong hands-on experience in testing both APIs and GUIs  
  • Strong understanding of quality processes and methodologies  
  • Experience with API testing tools like Postman, Insomnia or similar  
  • Familiarity with JSON, XML, and API authentication mechanisms (e.g., OAuth)  
  • Basic understanding of databases and ability to write SQL queries for data research 
  • Comfortable working in Agile teams and collaborating with cross-functional teammates  
  • You are a team player, can collaborate effectively with others  
  • Day-to-day responsibilities require good level of English and Latvian to communicate with clients and colleagues from Latvia and other countries 
  • Excellent communication skills and a self-driven, can-do attitude  
  • Experience in collaborating with developers, product owners, analysts, and designers   

 

Nice to have 

  • Knowledge of one or more programming languages  
  • ISTQB certification  
  • Hands-on knowledge and proficiency with test automation tools and frameworks  
  • Knowledge of insurance domain
