CAD Engineer

About the Role:

We are seeking a CADD Design Engineer to join our team at a leading lithium-ion battery factory. In this role, you will be responsible for designing critical components for our battery production processes. You will work closely with engineers and manufacturing teams to ensure that your designs meet all functional and safety requirements.

Responsibilities:

 Design enclosures, battery modules, racks, and other structural components for lithium-ion battery systems.

 Design material handling equipment or automation systems used within the battery factory.

 Design current collectors, bus bars, and other electrical components for battery modules.

 Design test fixtures for battery modules, including environmental testing chambers or electrical testing stations.

 Develop and maintain detailed engineering drawings and 3D models using CAD software.

 Prepare Bills of Materials (BOMs) and select suitable components based on technical specifications.

 Prototype battery components or modules according to engineering requirements.

 Provide support for manufacturing, integration, and purchasing processes.

 Manage resources, assign tasks to team members, and ensure timely delivery of projects.

 Communicate effectively with internal teams (engineering, manufacturing, etc.) and external vendors.

Qualifications:

 Proven Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering (BE Mech) or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (Diploma Mech).

 2-5 years of relevant experience.

 Proficiency in Mechanical CAD design tools.

 Strong understanding of enclosures, PCB card cages, racks, and structural frameworks.

 Experience in designing robotic arm machines, cabinet frames, sheet metal, and test fixtures for PCB testing.

 Ability to prepare BOMs and select suitable components based on technical specifications.

 Hands-on experience in prototyping as per customer requirements.

 Familiarity with manufacturing, integration, and purchase process support.

 Resource management and task assignment skills.

 Strong communication and coordination skills with internal teams and customers.
