As a Camp Officer you will be responsible for ensuring the safety, well-being, and enjoyment of all employees. This role involves overseeing daily operations, managing staff, and coordinating activities to create a positive camp experience.
š What Youāll Get Your Hands On:
- Oversee and manage Snoonu camp and support staff.
- Monitor employee behaviour and intervene when necessary to ensure a positive environment.
- Provide guidance and support to employees, promoting a positive camp culture. Program Management
- Plan, organize, and oversee daily employee activities and special events.
- Ensure activities are age-appropriate, safe, and engaging for all employees. Safety And Compliance ā¢ Enforce camp policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with all Ministry regulations.
- Conduct regular safety checks of the camp premises and equipment.
- Maintain accurate records of incidents, attendance, and any other relevant documentation. Communication
- Serve as the primary point of contact for HR Operations, addressing concerns and providing updates.
- Communicate effectively with HR Operations and the Accommodation Supervisor.
- Prepare and distribute schedules, newsletters, and other informational materials. Logistics And Operations.
- Assist in the setup and breakdown of camp facilities and equipment.
- Manage inventory of camp supplies, ensuring adequate materials are available.
- Handle administrative tasks such as employee check-ins and check-outs, evaluations, and reports.
- Organize rooms and bedding for new arrivals.
- Coordinate with Operations for assigning pick-up and drop-off for new arrivals.

- Ā A diploma or bachelorās degree inĀ hospitality management, Recreation, Physical Education, Social Work, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- Prior experience in camp management, event planning, outdoor activities, or youth programsĀ is preferred.
- Ā Leadership experience in a similar setting is an advantage.
- Leadership & ManagementĀ ā Ability to oversee camp activities, staff, and operations efficiently.
- Communication SkillsĀ ā Strong verbal and written communication to interact with campers and staffs.
- Problem-Solving & Decision-MakingĀ ā Quick thinking and effective decision-making in emergencies.
- Organizational SkillsĀ ā Managing schedules, resources, and event planning effectively.
- Interpersonal SkillsĀ ā Building strong relationships with staff, campers, and external stakeholders.
- Conflict ResolutionĀ ā Handling disputes among campers or staff professionally.
- Adaptability & ResilienceĀ ā Working in different environments and handling unpredictable situations.
- Ā Basic Administrative & Financial ManagementĀ ā Budgeting, record-keeping, and reporting.
- Teamwork & CollaborationĀ ā Ability to work with diverse groups and create a positive camp environment.
