About this role

The School of Social Sciences in the Faculty of Arts, Design and Architecture is seeking expressions of interest from qualified individuals for casual teaching opportunities, in the areas of Global Development, Politics and International Relations, Sociology & Anthropology, Social Science & Policy and Social Work.  

 

About the role 

As a casual tutor, your role is to lead teaching in tutorials and provide support to the Course Convenor. Your duties as a tutor include: 

  • Familiarity with the course content 

  • Preparations for tutorial classes each week, including weekly readings, materials and creating teaching slides 

  • Marking duties 

If your EOI is accepted, the School of Social Sciences will be in contact with you to provide further information about the particular role. 
 

Additional Information 

The School of Social Sciences will consider your application if your skills, qualifications, and experience are suitable. 
 
If there is no suitable opportunity immediately available, your EOI will be retained for consideration in subsequent teaching terms.  
 
The EOI portal will allow you to submit your CV, to outline your qualifications and experience, and to nominate which disciplines/courses you would like to teach. 
 
Please note that you must have working rights in Australia and have an Australian bank account. Overseas applications cannot be considered.
