The Opportunity
Reporting to the Head of Procurement - Hospitality, Corporate Services & Marketing, the Category Manager - Beverage is responsible for leading the development and execution of Crown's national beverage category strategy across our Melbourne, Sydney and Perth resorts. This role will drive strategic sourcing, commercial negotiations, supplier performance and long-term category planning to maximise value, mitigate risk and support operational excellence. Partnering closely with stakeholders across the business, you will play a key role in shaping Crown's beverage portfolio, identifying innovation opportunities and delivering sustainable commercial outcomes.
What You'll Do
Develop and execute category strategies and sourcing plans for the beverage portfolio, ensuring alignment with business objectives and operational requirements across Crown's resorts.
Lead end-to-end procurement activities, including market analysis, strategic sourcing events, supplier selection, tender management, contract negotiations and supplier consolidation initiatives.
Identify and deliver sustainable cost savings, cost avoidance and value creation opportunities while maintaining product quality, service standards and supply continuity.
Build, manage and evaluate strategic supplier relationships, driving performance against agreed KPIs and fostering continuous improvement and innovation.
Partner with Food & Beverage, Operations, Finance and senior business leaders to provide category expertise, commercial advice and market insights that support informed decision-making.
Ensure effective supplier governance, contract management, risk mitigation and compliance with procurement policies, processes and sustainability objectives.
What You'll Bring
Significant experience in Category Management, Strategic Sourcing or Procurement within hospitality, beverage, FMCG, retail or other complex commercial environments.
Strong understanding of beverage procurement, including supplier management, commercial contract negotiation, product sourcing and category strategy development.
Demonstrated success delivering measurable cost savings, supplier optimisation initiatives and commercial value through strategic procurement programs.
Advanced stakeholder engagement, negotiation and influencing skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships and drive outcomes across all levels of the organisation.
Strong analytical and commercial acumen, with the ability to interpret market data, identify emerging trends and translate insights into business outcomes.
Bachelor's degree in Business, Procurement, Supply Chain, Finance or a related discipline, combined with a sound understanding of procurement governance, supplier risk management and contract management practices.
