Safely prepare and administer prescribed medications, ensuring correct labeling and following physician orders and facility policies.
Verify resident identity and check medications for accuracy (resident, drug, dose, form, route, and time) before administration.
Document medication administration immediately, including refusals, PRN effects, and follow-up to ensure medications are taken.
Monitor resident health by checking vital signs and reporting any side effects or reactions to supervisors promptly.
Manage medication processes, including verifying pharmacy deliveries, reordering medications, assisting with self-administration, and properly storing or disposing of medications per facility policy.
