Job Summary
We are looking for a QA Automation Engineer with 1–2 years of experience in test automation using Playwright with TypeScript/JavaScript. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of software testing principles, experience in developing and maintaining automated test scripts, and the ability to work closely with developers and product teams to ensure high-quality software delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright with TypeScript/JavaScript.
- Execute functional, regression, smoke, and end-to-end test cases.
- Analyze test results, identify defects, and collaborate with developers to resolve issues.
- Participate in requirement analysis and test planning activities.
- Develop reusable automation frameworks and utilities.
- Perform API testing using tools such as Postman or Playwright API testing.
- Validate UI functionality across multiple browsers.
- Integrate automated test suites with CI/CD pipelines.
- Prepare test reports and provide quality metrics.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
Required Skills
Must Have
- 1–2 years of experience in Software Testing/QA Automation.
- Hands-on experience with Playwright.
- Strong knowledge of TypeScript or JavaScript.
- Understanding of automation framework design and best practices.
- Experience in UI automation testing.
- Knowledge of API testing (Postman or Playwright API testing).
- Good understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Agile methodologies.
- Experience with Git version control.
- Strong debugging and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
Good to Have
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or Azure DevOps.
- Basic knowledge of SQL for database validation.
- Familiarity with Docker.
- Experience with cross-browser and cross-platform testing.
- Exposure to performance or security testing concepts.
