The Opportunity

We are looking for two civil or structural engineers to join our team for a 6 to 12-week placement. If you're in the final year of your Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering, this is your opportunity to move beyond the classroom and experience what it's like to be part of a team who solves real engineering challenges.

The student who demonstrates strong technical aptitude, initiative, and a commitment to our values will be offered a Graduate Engineer role with Advitech.

As a Civil or Structural Engineer Intern, you'll make meaningful contributions, develop practical skills, and build valuable industry connections.

During your internship, you will:

• Apply your university studies to assist in the delivery of civil and structural engineering projects across a variety of industries.
• Work alongside experienced engineers who will mentor and support your development.
• Contribute to engineering design, analysis, calculations, reporting, and quality management activities for a range of clients, industries and locations.
• Gain exposure to site inspections, project management processes, and client-focused engineering solutions.
• Develop your technical, professional, and communication skills in a real-world environment.
• Fast-track your professional development through hands-on involvement in a diverse range of engineering projects.

Requirements

We're looking for students who are eager to learn and gain practical industry experience.

To be successful, you will be in your final year of a Civil or Structural Engineering Degree, and have:

• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent discipline, organisational and time management abilities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• The ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
• A proactive attitude, willingness to take initiative and receive constructive feedback.
• A genuine interest in consulting engineering and project delivery.
• A strong academic record.
• A current drivers licence and reliable vehicle.

This role is flexible

We understand the demands of university study so offer flexibility to suit your schedule. Successful candidates may choose to commence on a part-time basis (approximately 2 days per week) during the semester, and, or full-time placement following university examinations.

Reports To: Group Leader - Civil/Structural Engineering
