PAC is seeking a Client Access Counselor to join our Intake Team and work in a positive work environment with a team of supportive professionals.
Essential Functions:
- Perform intake duties as assigned by Clinical Director
- Facilitate gender-specific primary, experiential, and education groups and lectures
- Support primary counselors by assisting with paperwork and covering caseloads
- Comply with MN Statute, Chapter 245G requirements regarding timely paperwork and documentation
- Provide support and intervention in crisis situations
- Maintain a positive, professional and ethical demeanor with clients and within the community while following a strict code of ethics
- Participate in various regularly scheduled meetings
- Participate in weekly supervision meetings with the Clinical Director
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
- Must demonstrate competence in screening for and working with clients with co-occurring disorders; through education, training and experience
- Knowledge of MN Statute, Chapter 245G and licensing and its application to the department and company’s policy and procedures
- Ability to work in alignment with company values, goals, policies and procedures.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective and cooperative relationships with co-workers
- Ability to establish priorities, manage projects and meet deadlines
- Ability to maintain excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills in English; communication skills in other languages preferred
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs and Electronic Medical Record system; or ability to obtain proficiency after training
Required qualifications
- Must be a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC) or have the ability to obtain an Alcohol and Drug Counselor Temporary permit (ADC-T)
- Must obtain and maintain required continuing education units and training

Environment/Work Setting: This position works in a substance abuse co-occurring disorders treatment facility, primarily in an office setting. There will be frequent interaction with persons who are chemically dependent, with mental health diagnoses, and/or who experience emotional instability.
Job Type: Full-time, benefit eligible, Monday - Friday days.
Pay: $54,000.00 - $62,000.00 per year DOQ.
