About this role

SpaceXAI’s mission is to create AI systems that can accurately understand the universe and aid humanity in its pursuit of knowledge. Our team is small, highly motivated, and focused on engineering excellence. This organization is for individuals who appreciate challenging themselves and thrive on curiosity. We operate with a flat organizational structure. All employees are expected to be hands-on and to contribute directly to the company’s mission. Leadership is given to those who show initiative and consistently deliver excellence. Work ethic and strong prioritization skills are important. All employees are expected to have strong communication skills. They should be able to concisely and accurately share knowledge with their teammates.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

We are hiring an SMB Client Account Manager to own a portfolio of small- and medium-sized advertisers and their agencies. You will act as a trusted advisor: uncovering business goals, recommending X advertising products and best practices, executing and optimizing campaigns, and driving measurable growth. This role blends hands-on campaign management with strategic relationship-building and a bias toward action in a fast-moving environment.

Ideal candidates are proactive, analytically minded, and comfortable working with limited supervision while collaborating across sales, product, and finance teams.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Own a portfolio of SMB advertisers: understand growth drivers, identify opportunities and risks, and build plans that help clients meet or exceed their goals.
  • Consult clients and agencies on X advertising products, campaign setup, targeting, creative, and measurement; educate them on best practices so they can succeed independently and with our support.
  • Execute, optimize, and analyze campaigns using internal tools and dashboards; turn performance data into clear recommendations and adjustments.
  • Conduct outreach and regular business reviews to strengthen relationships, surface new opportunities, and improve results.
  • Identify key stakeholders at each account and help shape their digital marketing plans around X.
  • Resolve campaign and operational issues quickly; flag process gaps and feed insights back to product and tools teams.
  • Support contract, renewal, billing, and collections processes in partnership with Sales Finance.
  • Collaborate with the broader sales team to align on priorities, share learnings, and deliver a consistent client experience.
  • Mentor newer teammates as the team scales.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2–3+ years in digital advertising, sales, marketing, media account management, or consulting (agency or client-side).
  • Proven ability to build and grow client relationships, manage multiple accounts, and navigate competing priorities.
  • Experience translating marketing objectives into campaigns, then optimizing them using performance data.
  • Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills; comfort speaking with business owners and marketing leads.
  • Demonstrated ownership, attention to detail, and ability to work independently in a small, high-pace team.
  • Solid understanding of the digital advertising landscape and competitive platforms.

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Direct experience managing SMB or mid-market advertisers and hitting growth or revenue targets.
  • Familiarity with social/platform advertising products (X Ads a plus) and how they fit into a broader media mix.
  • Ability to use data and questioning to uncover insights, handle objections, and build compelling recommendations.
  • Experience mentoring or onboarding others in a growth-stage environment.
  • Passion for X’s mission around free speech and open public conversation, plus comfort in a dynamic, high-ownership culture.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

$72,000 - $95,000 USD base salary + commission

Base salary is just one part of our total rewards package at SpaceXAI, which also includes equity, comprehensive medical, vision, and dental coverage, access to a 401(k) retirement plan, short & long-term disability insurance, life insurance, and various other discounts and perks.

ITAR REQUIREMENTS:

  • To conform to U.S. Government export regulations, applicant must be a (i) U.S. citizen or national, (ii) U.S. lawful, permanent resident (aka green card holder), (iii) Refugee under 8 U.S.C. § 1157, or (iv) Asylee under 8 U.S.C. § 1158, or be eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
