About this role

JOB PURPOSE

Reporting to the Digital Content Lead, the Club Photographer is responsible for planning, capturing, editing and delivering compelling, high-quality imagery that tells the story of Luton Town Football Club. From First Team matchdays and training sessions to commercial campaigns, player shoots and behind-the-scenes content, the postholder serves as the visual voice of the Club, producing photography that engages supporters, strengthens the Club's brand and underpins its digital, social, print and commercial output. Working collaboratively across the marketing, commercial and media departments, the Club Photographer plays a central role in shaping and protecting the Club's visual identity at every level.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee and deliver high-quality photography across all areas of the football club.

  • Capture elite-level imagery across matches, training, player shoots, Club events, commercial campaigns and behind-the-scenes environments, helping to tell the story of Luton Town through powerful and engaging visuals.

  • Attend all Men’s First Team fixtures, both home and away (potentially over 60 in a season) while also ensuring consistent, high-quality coverage across the Academy matches.

  • Work closely with the marketing, commercial and wider media and communications departments, you will help shape the visual identity of the Club across digital, social, print and commercial platforms.

  • Manage and maintain the Club’s photography archive within ScorePlay.

  • Editi and deliver imagery to tight deadlines across multiple departments.

  • Support creative campaign shoots and branded content production.

  • Stayahead of trends across photography, football culture, fashion, music and wider creative industries.

  • Ability to direct current players, staff and new signings to produce high level photography in line with the Club’s content strategy.

  • Manage the Club’s matchday accreditation process on Dataco for photographers and wider media.

Experience & Knowledge

  • A minimum of three years’ professional photography experience, preferably within elite sport, live events, editorial, or a fast-paced media environment.

  • A strong portfolio demonstrating compelling storytelling, high technical quality and creativity.

  • Advanced knowledge of professional camera equipment and Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop and Lightroom.

  • Excellent understanding of lighting, composition and post-production techniques, with camera equipment provided by the Club.

  • Outstanding organisational and time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines.

  • Knowledge of social-first content trends and how photography performs across digital platforms.

Person Specification

  • The ability to remain calm and decisive under pressure, especially during live events.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to build positive working relationships across all areas of the Club.

  • A proactive, flexible and self-motivated approach to work.

  • A passion for football and an understanding of the importance of storytelling within modern sport.

Additional Information:

  • This is a full-time, on-site role primarily based at Luton Town HQ, with regular work at The Brache training ground, Kenilworth Road stadium and Power Court, our new home from 2028.

  • This is a fast-paced and exciting role suited to someone who thrives under pressure, has exceptional creative instincts and is passionate about visual storytelling in elite sport.

  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and travel to away fixtures – for which expenses will be reimbursed – is essential, as well as a full UK driving licence.

  • Time in lieu will be applied for working weekend and evening matches.

  • The successful candidate must always represent the Club professionally and maintain the highest standards of confidentiality and conduct.
