Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled CMM Operator / Programmer to support quality inspection processes in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for programming and operating Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) to ensure precision and compliance with engineering specifications.

Key Responsibilities

Program and operate CMM equipment using software such as PC-DMIS, Calypso, or similar

Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and CAD models to create inspection routines

Perform first article inspections (FAI), in-process, and final inspections

Analyze measurement data and generate detailed inspection reports

Identify and report dimensional issues; collaborate with production and engineering teams on solutions

Maintain calibration and preventative maintenance schedules for CMM equipment

Ensure compliance with ISO, ASME, and customer quality standards

Support continuous improvement initiatives related to quality and production
Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required (technical degree or certification preferred)

2–3+ years of CMM programming and/or operating experience in manufacturing

Proficiency with CMM software (PC-DMIS, Calypso, or equivalent)

Strong understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing)

Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints and 3D CAD models

Experience in metal fabrication, CNC machining, or precision manufacturing preferred

Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills

Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Physical & Work Environment

Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs as needed

Comfortable working in a manufacturing/industrial environment (noise, dust, temperature changes)

Must follow all safety guidelines and wear required PPE
