Who we are looking for:

An experienced leader for the State Street India Collateral Management organization Extensive knowledge required collateral management, OTC, static data, onboarding, confirmation, settlement, clearing, uncleared and initial margin.

Why this role is important to us:

The Vice President, Collateral Management, will provide leadership and oversight for collateral operations across multiple products, clients, and regions. The role is responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality operational services, maintaining a strong risk and control environment, driving transformation initiatives, and supporting the firm's strategic growth objectives.

This position requires a client-focused, results-oriented leader who can effectively balance operational excellence, risk management, talent development, and business transformation while leading global teams in a highly regulated environment.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Operational Leadership:
  • Lead end-to-end collateral management operations, including margin call processing, collateral settlements, dispute management, collateral reconciliation, and exception management.
  • Ensure delivery of operational services in accordance with client expectations, regulatory requirements, and internal service-level agreements.
  • Drive operational excellence through standardization, automation, and process optimization.
  • Monitor key performance indicators, capacity, productivity, and service quality metrics.
  • Risk & Controls:
  • Maintain a strong operational risk and control framework across all collateral processes.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and audit standards.
  • Proactively identify operational risks, control gaps, and emerging issues, implementing effective mitigation strategies.
  • Lead remediation efforts arising from audits, incidents, client reviews, and regulatory examinations.
  • Client & Stakeholder Management:
  • Serve as a senior escalation point for clients, counterparties, and internal stakeholders.
  • Partner with global business leaders, risk, technology, compliance, and transformation teams to deliver strategic outcomes.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships while ensuring high levels of client satisfaction.
  • Transformation & Continuous Improvement:
  • Drive automation, digital transformation, and operating model enhancements.
  • Support strategic initiatives related to workflow optimization, platform migration, process simplification, and scalability.
  • Identify and execute efficiency opportunities to improve productivity and reduce operational risk.
  • Champion innovation and adoption of industry utilities and technology solutions.
  • People Leadership:
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of managers and operations professionals.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, inclusion, and continuous learning.
  • Drive succession planning, workforce planning, talent development, and employee engagement initiatives.
  • Ensure appropriate SME coverage and organizational resilience across critical functions.
  • Governance & Reporting:
  • Provide regular updates to senior leadership on operational performance, risks, client issues, staffing, and strategic initiatives.
  • Participate in governance forums, risk committees, and business reviews.
  • Support annual planning, budget management, headcount planning, and resource allocation activities.

Education / Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business, or related discipline.
  • 18+ yrs experience in Capital Markets, People management and operations management
  • Transformation / Strategic implementation
  • Risk / Control / Audit
  • Strong management and employee relations skills

Preferred

  • Advanced degree (MBA or equivalent).
  • Knowledge of collateral platforms such as COLLINE, Acadia, TriResolve, Aladdin, or equivalent industry solutions.
  • Experience managing global teams and client-facing operations.
  • Lean Six Sigma, project management, or process improvement certifications.
