We are searching for the best talent for  Commercial Education Specialist – Spine in Raynham, MA.

Purpose:

Shape the Future of Spine Sales Excellence

DePuy Synthes Spine is seeking a Commercial Education Specialist to help develop and elevate the next generation of Spine Sales Consultants. This role is ideal for a high-performing spine sales professional who wants to leverage their clinical, technical, and commercial expertise to drive field performance, facilitate impactful learning experiences, and influence commercial capability across the organization.

Working closely with Sales, Marketing, Product Management, Medical Affairs, Professional Education, and Field-Based Education teams, you will support onboarding, product launches, sales methodology initiatives, and advanced capability-building programs.

You will be responsible for:

Drive Commercial Excellence

  • Develop and deliver training programs that accelerate sales performance and field readiness.

  • Support onboarding, product launches, and advanced sales capability initiatives.

  • Train sales professionals on spine procedures, implant systems, enabling technologies, biologics, account management, and strategic selling.

Facilitate Learning Experiences

  • Assist with leading classroom, virtual, lab, and field-based training programs.

  • Facilitate learning for new hires, experienced sales consultants, and sales leaders.

  • Create engaging learning environments that drive application, retention, and behavior change.

  • Assist with development and maintenance of copy approved educational content including presentations, e-learning modules, and procedural training resources.

Partner Across the Business

  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to design and improve learning solutions.

  • Support innovative learning approaches including simulation, digital learning, role play, video-based learning, and gamification.

  • Use field feedback, program metrics, and market insights to improve educational effectiveness.

Stay Connected to the Field

  • Maintain expertise in market trends, customer needs, competitive dynamics, and emerging technologies.

  • Conduct field visits and case observations to ensure training remains relevant and impactful.

  • Share best practices and identify opportunities to improve commercial readiness.

Qualifications / Requirements:

Required

  • Bachelor's degree.

  • Experience with spinal implants, biomaterials, visualization technologies, navigation, or robotics.

  • Demonstrated success supporting surgeons and hospital customers in the operating room.

  • Strong communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.

  • Ability to travel up to 25%.

Preferred

  • 3+ years of Spine Medical Device sales experience.

  • Experience with spine navigation, robotics, or enabling technologies.

  • Experience creating and delivering educational content across virtual, classroom, and field-based environments.

  • Experience with capital equipment sales, stakeholder management, and economic value selling.

  • Experience coaching, mentoring, or training medical device professionals.

  • Knowledge of adult learning principles and modern learning technologies, including digital content development, AI, VR/AR, animation, and gamification.

Johnson & Johnson announced plans to separate our Orthopaedics business to establish a standalone orthopaedics company, operating as DePuy Synthes. The process of the planned separation is anticipated to be completed within 18 to 24 months, subject to legal requirements, including consultation with works councils and other employee representative bodies, as may be required, regulatory approvals and other customary conditions and approvals.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is :

$94,000.00 - $151,800.00

Vacation –120 hours per calendar year

Sick time - 40 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Colorado –48 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Washington –56 hours per calendar year

Holiday pay, including Floating Holidays –13 days per calendar year

Work, Personal and Family Time - up to 40 hours per calendar year

Parental Leave – 480 hours within one year of the birth/adoption/foster care of a child

Bereavement Leave – 240 hours for an immediate family member: 40 hours for an extended family member per calendar year

Caregiver Leave – 80 hours in a 52-week rolling period10 days

Volunteer Leave – 32 hours per calendar year

Military Spouse Time-Off – 80 hours per calendar year
