What you’ll do

  • Drive strategic initiatives and ensure seamless execution of construction and commissioning projects for the Advanced Nuclear business.

  • Lead the development and implementation of best practices in construction and commissioning to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest SQDC standards.

  • Build, inspire and lead a diverse team of construction and commissioning experts, fostering a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and excellence.

  • Ensure strict observance and implementation of the business EHS/Quality Policy and all company rules, maintaining overall safety for all project sites.

  • Champion innovative solutions and technologies to streamline construction and commissioning processes, reducing costs and improving overall project efficiency.

  • Oversee the C&C global cost center to ensure budget achievement and financial discipline.

  • Monitor and ensure professional execution of site activities within budget, time, scope, and quality, adhering to the SQDC principle.

  • Training and Development: Maintain identification of training needs, planning, execution, and follow-up of appropriate training for personnel to foster a high-performing team.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and internal stakeholders to ensure alignment and successful project outcomes.

  • Manage relationships with multiple subcontractors and lead claim negotiations, ensuring alignment with GEV way of execution.

  • Own ITO costing for the C&C scope of Turnkey Power Plants and engage during the ITO phase in site selections and proposal building, specifically guiding the team around partner management.

  • Resource Management: Identify and delegate necessary resources (employees, skills, and contractors) to projects, ensuring timely assignment of project personnel.

  • Ensure GVH covers appropriate licensing for construction activities in the jurisdictions where we operate

  • Be accountable for the execution of all construction management activity from RFQ to Warranty phase including assembly of subcontract packages, engagement with EPCs, bid management, final award recommendation, and execution oversight

What you’ll bring (Basic Qualifications)

  • Bachelor Degree in Engineering, Business or other technical or business-related field or equivalent experiences

  • Proven leadership experience in construction and commissioning within the energy or heavy industrial sector stemming more than 15 years of direct relevant expertise

  • Deep understanding of construction methodologies, commissioning processes, and industry best practices.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead large teams and drive operational excellence.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.

  • Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time

**Flexible on location for the right candidate**

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $220,000 and $320,000. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.

This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information. If applicable, final offers will be contingent on ability to obtain authorization for access to U.S. export-controlled information from the U.S. Government.
