Our Client, a leading company within the Construction Industry is seeking a Construction Operations Manager will oversee all ongoing construction projects to ensure they are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. They will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and optimising project execution across multiple sites, managing Project Managers and Engineers, and ensuring smooth integration between technical, financial, and procurement teams. Responsibilities: Supervise and support all Project Managers across building, road, and warehouse projects. Review and approve drawings, project schedules, work programmes, and progress reports. Conduct regular site visits to monitor work quality, safety, and progress. Identify risks or delays early and initiate corrective actions. Ensure effective coordination between design, procurement, and site execution. Technical coordination between consultants, clients and suppliers. Track project progress versus budget, timelines, and resource utilization. Review weekly and monthly reports from Project Managers. Prepare consolidated company-level operations reports for management. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for each project. Plan and allocate manpower, machinery, and materials across projects based on workload. Coordinate with Procurement to ensure timely delivery of critical materials. Oversee equipment utilization, maintenance, and logistics scheduling. Oversee day to day operations. Enforce company safety policies and ensure all sites comply with HSE standards. Review QA/QC plans and ensure adherence to specifications and standards. Conduct audits and spot checks on workmanship and material quality. Standardize reporting templates, checklists, and site management procedures. Implement digital tools for project tracking and reporting (e.g., Fieldwire, MS Project, Excel dashboards). Develop and enforce best practices for project management and supervision. Provide solutions to issues. Lead and mentor Project Managers, Engineers, and Foremen. Support recruitment, training, and performance reviews of site staff. Promote teamwork and accountability across the operations department. Requirements Bachelor’s or Masters degree in Civil Engineering. Minimum 8–12 years’ experience in construction project management, with at least 3 years in a senior coordination or operations role. Proven experience managing multiple medium-to-large scale projects simultaneously. Strong understanding of project scheduling, costing, contracts, and technical drawings. Proficient in project management software (MS Project, Excel, Fieldwire, or similar). Excellent leadership, communication, and analytical skills. Registration with ERB or equivalent professional body is an advantage.
