UTA seeks a Contracts Administrator to provide support for our Guild Relations and Business Affairs teams. The successful candidate will have excellent attention to detail and organization to enable processing of contracts. This role will build effective relationships internally with all levels in a fast-paced business environment. This position is based in Beverly Hills, California.
The salary range for this role is $30.00 to $35.00 per hour, commensurate with experience and skills.
What You’ll Do
Consolidate, maintain, and organize entertainment contracts, as well as certain financial provisions in contracts, primarily for writers, directors, and actors, in coordination with the agents’ offices and UTA accounting department.
Help track invoices and contractual payments in spreadsheets for internal and external purposes.
Prepare deal summary reports and maintain organized databases of contractual activity.
Review and analyze guild agreements such as WGA, PGA, DGA, AEA and SAG-AFTRA under supervision of the Guild Relations Manager and/or other business affairs executives, as applicable, to help respond to and facilitate agent inquiries.
Act as additional point of contact with various guilds and with internal stakeholders regarding guild matters.
Help foster and maintain positive, professional relationships with external guild representatives and internal stakeholders.
Proactive monitoring and research regarding new guild rules, flagging potential issues and recommending resolutions under supervision of the Guild Relations Manager and/or other business affairs executives, as applicable.
Coordinate communications and submissions between internal, cross-functional departments and external guild contacts, if and as directed by the Guild Relations Manager.
Handle confidential and time-sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
Participate in analyzing data stored in applicable databases, including preparing reports and correspondence with discretion and attention to detail.
Conduct other duties as needed.
What You Need
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience required.
2-3 years of contracts administration, business affairs or legal administration experience preferred.
Experience handling legal documentation and contracts.
Must be proficient in Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Box.
Experience exercising discretion and handling confidential information.
Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to multitask and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Experience working on cross-functional teams and liaising with external and internal stakeholders.
Interest in entertainment law and industry operations, guild relations, and business affairs.
