Job Summary Our Client, an Agricultural Company, is looking for a Contract Engineer who will be responsible for managing contracts across various project phases, including tendering, negotiation, execution, and close-out. The role ensures compliance with legal, commercial, and technical obligations and acts as a liaison between the company, contractors, clients, and other stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery. Responsibilities; Execute proper contract documentation (including on variations, payments, advances etc) and ensure adherence to contractual conditions. Identify risks and develop risk mitigation plans during the project life cycle (Pre-qualification stage, Tendering/Bidding Stage, Project Planning and Procurement Stage, Execution and Monitoring Stage, Project Closure and Claims stage, Project Operation and maintenance stage) Develop and maintain client relationships. Ensure timely and accurate work measurement, billing, certification and collection. Ensure identification, documentation and submission of claims & variations. Ensure documentation and preparation for Dispute Review Boards & arbitration. Ensuring of various records are correctly maintained by various departments as required in terms of the contract provisions. Recording hindrances and rescheduling physical and financial milestones. Work along with the site supervision consultants and contractors for making recommendations on mitigation measures to prevent/minimize delays in contract implementation. Submit periodic reports on contracts progress, including recommendations for delivery performance improvements. Requirements Master’s Degree in project Management /Civil engineer or Construction Engineering and Management with at least 5 years of experience is required. A Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Engineering and Architecture with at least 7 years qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu. Qualified as a practicing engineer for at least 5 years in country of residence. At least 5 years of proven experience in contract and construction/engineering management is required.
