About the Role
Controllership team breaks the status quo by facing challenges from the perspective of technological innovation as a tool to automate and make our processes run more efficiently. You’ll be Responsible for
Operate the Back Office activities, focus on the local operation of a “Compañía de Financiamiento” monitored by “Super Intendecia financiera de Colombia”
Compliance and settlement of market transactions through the Banco de la República's SEBRA (CUD and DCV) and other commercial bank portals.
Compliance with each financial operation, those instructions come from the treasury team.
Banks funding to keep operating without risks / CUD + commercial banks + manage bank accounts.
Create controls over bank activities
Upload and analyze short-term cash flow, ensuring it is updated daily.
Manage SAP movements regarding bank movements, conciliations.
What We're Looking For Someone Who Has
Bachelor of industrial engineer, business administrator, economist, accounting or related degrees.
Minimum 8 years of experience leading the back office or financial operations in banks, regulated entities or fintechs.
Manage financial operations as: interbank loans, overnight operations, simultaneous, management of securities, coupons and maturities, using financial applications and core banking.
Lead teams to operate and complete the operations mentioned above
Knowledge of treasury processes: bank transfers, reconciliations, rate validation, interest calculations, and balance monitoring.
Experience in tools of the local market as: Sebra, DCV, Deceval , ACH y Cenit (must).
Experience in foreign operations and Colombian exchange rate regime, manage capitalizations, loans, or any operation in FX.
Creation of new product and features (processes that affects the cash management)
Fluent in Spanish and English to keep connected the teams of treasury, back office and others in different geos. (Must)
Regulatory Reports review or preparation for the Financial Superintendency (nice to have)
Proven experience in ERP SAP. (nice to have)
Manage internal and external audits to be compliant with the process and controls.
Experience automating manual processes using tools such as Artificial Intelligence, SQL, Python and other technologies. (Nice to have)
