About this role

Job Type: Full-Time, Monday – Friday 1st shift

Location: Newport News, Virginia

Activity: Heavy machinery, automation, technical assistance, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.

What you will do in this role:

  • Support our client with automation and commissioning of APCO designed and manufactured machines (on-site/field oriented/within manufacturing facilities).

  • Support our customer during the daily activities of production with the machines to offer continuous improvements.

  • Implement improvements and fixes to the existing software.

  • Maintain regular contact with technical support team located at the head office to receive support and provide updates

What you bring:

  • Bachelor degree or similar level of experience.

  • 1-5 years’ experience in industrial automation.

  • Siemens software proficient:

    o TIA Portal / Simatic Manager

    o SINAMICS Startdrive

    o Step7 Safety

    o WinCC

  • You have mastered the ability to read technical drawings (mechanical and electrical).

  • Strong customer service, interpersonal and excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Attention to detail and quality.

  • Must have a valid driver’s license and a clean criminal record.

  • Nice-to-have: Mobile Equipment Operator Certification (ANSI 92.5 and 92.6).

  • US Work permit Holder
