About the opportunity

We’re looking for an experienced Coolstore Operations Team Leader to join our Post-Harvest team and lead daily operations across our Whakatu East Site Coolstore.
This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll be responsible for ensuring safe, efficient, and timely product handling, storage, and dispatch while leading a team of permanent and seasonal employees.
What you’ll do:
Lead daily coolstore operations across Arrivals, Bin Store, Inventory Movements and Finished Goods.
Manage and motivate a team of up to 85 employees, creating a safe, positive and high-performing culture.
Ensure product quality, compliance and export market requirements are consistently achieved.
Partner with Packhouse, Quality, Supply Chain, Transport and other teams to keep product moving efficiently.
Drive continuous improvement through problem-solving, standardised work and operational excellence.
What you’ll bring:
Proven experience leading teams in a warehousing, manufacturing, coolstore or primary production environment.
Strong operational and problem-solving skills.
Experience with inventory management and fast-paced production environments.
A commitment to safety, quality and developing people.
A continuous improvement mindset and the ability to challenge the status quo.
Experience in the pipfruit or post-harvest industry, CA storage, or perishable goods would be an advantage.
